Job Summary:
As a Caregiver, your primary responsibility is to provide compassionate and personalized support to clients, ensuring their dignity and privacy are upheld. You will be tasked with offering personal care and assistance with daily activities, contributing to the overall well-being and comfort of the individuals under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
Assist with food preparation; serve food, perform errands, light housekeeping, laundry, and wash dishes.
Perform and record accurate measurements (e.g., vital signs, or intake/output) as instructed in the care plans.
Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
Attend staff meetings, complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participate in the orientation of new employees.
Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.
Maintain client confidentiality/adhere to HIPAA requirements and the agency policy and procedures manual.
Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Report abnormal findings in the client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to the Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications and Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited High School or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
At least 18 years of age and have demonstrated competency.
If under 18 years of age, is a high school graduate or is enrolled in a vocational educational program and has demonstrated competency to perform tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Ability to work positively and collaboratively with clients, families, and staff.
Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and maintain a cheerful attitude.
Listed on the nurse aide registry with no finding against the aide relating to client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
