Hopkins Construction & Maintenance seeks to hire experienced, qualified, and skilled Commercial Construction Manager in Central/South Mississippi and Louisiana (based in Long Beach, MS). Local travel required.
Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of construction project(s), from initial planning and budgeting to completion, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications by coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, monitoring quality, and resolving any issues that arise on site, while collaborating with architects, engineers, and clients to meet project goals; they are responsible for maintaining compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout the construction process.
Job Requirements:
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines
- Technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
- Financial acumen to manage budgets and cost control measures
- Ability to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes
- Understanding of safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe worksite
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Personnel management experience required
- Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Products
- Extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures and market trends
- Detail oriented and capable of managing priorities

- Financial and Job Cost Accounting Knowledge
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of (5) five years of verifiable experience in similar position. Experience in all types of commercial construction management.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
- Professional certifications like Certified Construction Manager (CCM) can be advantageous
