- Develops curriculum and lesson plans for Camp Royal swim camps
- Prepares and provides materials for classes.
- Teaches lesson plans for classes.
- Provides direction to the Camp Royal Assistants and Leaders.
- Available June 10 - August 8, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 4pm. (12-1 pm Break & Prep)
- Checks students in & out of class and remains with students until all students are picked up.
- Completes attendance records, weekly schedules, accident reports, and all other reports as requested.
- Interacts with parents and community members in a professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful manner.
- Supervises children using positive discipline to maintain an informal, orderly, and safe environment.
- Follow district safety procedures and guidelines and ensure that safety precautions are taken in all activities.
- Enforces all policies, rules and regulations established by Hopkins Community Education.
- Maintains proper care and use of equipment and facilities.
- Sets up and cleans up activity areas.
- One (1) year of experience coordinating swimming programs.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Driver’s license.
- District policies and procedures.
- Methods and techniques to assist students with swim and recreational programs.
- Safety rules and regulations.
- Computer applications related to the work.
- Maintaining composure and working effectively under classroom conditions.
- Exercising good judgment in all situations.
- Assisting in the development and evaluation of child care curriculum.
- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.
- Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities.
