What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Hopkinsville Family Care?
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments on patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
-Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely matter
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a similar setting (e.g., primary care, specialty clinic, hospital)
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards and practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
