TITLE: Assistant Athletic Trainer (10-month)
TYPE OF POSITION: Part-time (.5), school year position (anticipated start ASAP); salary commensurate with experience (range: $50,000-$57,000 prorated for part-time: $25,000.-$28,500.)
LOCATION: Hopkinton Middle & High Schools, Hopkinton, Massachusetts

The Assistant Athletic Trainer works directly with students and helps with the maintenance, assessment, rehabilitation, and evaluation of student-athletes’ health, injuries, and other medical conditions. Work hours will vary by week, and include night and weekend work. The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the principal(s), the Head Athletic Trainer, and the Athletic Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Commonwealth of MA Licensure (LATC);
- First Aid and CPR Teaching Certification;
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, Master's Degree preferred;
- Experience working with adolescents;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or Athletic Director may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.
DUTIES:
- Assists with oversight of operation and maintenance of Athletic Training Room;
- Serves as a resource for referrals, injury assessment, and on-site attention for student-athletes;
- Assists with injury prevention and rehabilitation for student-athletes;
- Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which activity is conducted or students are located at all times that members are present;
- Serves as first respondent for all home athletic events when the need for medical attention arises;
- Serves as site manager for various home athletic events;
- Serves as adjunct staff member of both Wellness and Athletic Department programs.
- Other duties, as assigned.
