Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The logistics coordinator oversees shipments between locations and executes outbound freight, ocean freight, and container shipping. This role will also assist with documenting and monitoring continuous records to support production, inventory, labeling, bale receiving, NAV management, and P-Sheets.
Schedules shipments to ensure delivery by promised deadlines.
Communicates with production, sales, warehouses, freight forwarders, UPS, FedEx, LTL, FTL, trucking companies, and both internal and external customers.
Harvest receiving of product
Harvest sales team support
Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
Resolves delivery problems
Tracks shipping efficiencies for our warehouse teams
Supports management of sales team sample inventory.
Assists in maintaining inventory documentation.
Reports low inventory of materials to supervisor as needed.
Cover other logistic and production functions as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience, Education, and Licensure / Certification Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two to five years of experience in a shipping warehouse is preferred.
Experience with quality / continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing safety practices.
Experience with product labeling standards and equipment.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exposure to export regulations and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with computerized distribution systems.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and / or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, loud, and labor-intensive environment at variable temperatures (from outdoor heat to indoor refrigerated coolers).
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must have the ability to move around the warehouse.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
