Description
Reporting to the Express Supervisor, the Express Specialist will be the main point of contact for non-injury first party claims. They will investigate coverage, determine liability, and settle claims for our educators while delivering top notch customer service and adhering to our best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Efficient handling of low complexity physical damage losses, tasks, and documents.
- Verify coverage, proper assignment of estimate channel, rental, including monitor and confirm proper invoicing if total loss, and prompt payment of various physical damage and CAT Claims.
- Complete timely investigation to identify potential referrals to other business areas.
- Verify coverage investigate liability and/or scope of damage.
- Evaluates the claim to determine claim value, negotiate settlement and moves to settle claims while adhering to company best claim practices.
- Proficiency with/and ability to understand and follow regulations for State jurisdictions.
- Provide transparent and timely communication to all involved parties.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced customer focused environment, while effectively utilizing telephony and claims operating systems.
- If assigned to Total Loss team, responsibilities include processing claims and targeted topics in the total loss phone queue.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED, required.
- No prior claim experience needed.
- Must obtain adjusters license within 6 months of hire date.
- Must provide extraordinary customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Work location is flexible if approved by the Company except that the position may not be performed remotely from NYC
