What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Deployment Technician-Temporary position at Horace Mann?
This is a temporary position that will start ASAP and is estimated to complete the end of August.
Horace Mann is looking for a few IT Deployment Technicians to join our team! This is an on-site role performing various windows 11 migration tasks.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:40pm CST.
On a daily basis you will need to image 6 – 8 computers, install a custom software list ( SCCM and Manual installs). You will be unboxing and re-boxing all hardware. Additionally, you may be asked to assist with transporting items too and from a shipping area. You may be asked to assist with repairing some of the hardware
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in a computer-related program at an accredited technical college
- Experience in a desktop computing support role is preferred, with preference given to candidates with over 1 year of relevant experience.
- Good knowledge of IT concepts and overall strategies, methodologies, practices & procedures.
- Some exposure to network components such as switches, firewalls and Wi-Fi access points.
- Highly desirable if you have experience using PXE or Server Based Imaging with to install Windows 11 onto new computers
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, and
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, Customer Service Focus and good Interpersonal Skills
What you will do:
- Imaging of laptops and desktops with Windows 11.
- Unpackage new systems.
- Package new hardware for shipping
- Bend and reach repetitively, Lift up to 30 lbs.
- Possible some On-site deployment of new equipment in customer’s offices including data migration.
Pay Range:
- $17.00/hr
