Position Summary:
The Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for developing banking relationships that meet lending guidelines, provide a fair rate of return, and minimize risk to the Bank.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes an atmosphere which fosters our Vision, Virtues and Mission to the employees, customers, and community.
- Enthusiastically supports the Bank sales function by providing exceptional service to internal and external customers of the Bank.
- Consults with and assists in the completion of loan applications from consumers, within regulatory and Bank policy guidelines.
- Analyzes, underwrites, documents, and approves or denies consumer loan requests within established lending limits and policy guidelines.
- Responsible for the collection of originated loans.
- Responsible for the deposit and consumer loan sales growth and profitability of the location.
- Represents and promotes the bank at sponsored events in the community to generate referrals through community, civic and volunteer efforts.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists employees with questions and concerns relating to internal bank operations.
- Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis. Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required.
- Performs other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
