Behavior Technician – In-Home Childcare Support

Helping Kids Grow, One Step at a Time. Childcare workers encouraged to apply!

About Us

At Horizon ABA, we work closely with families to support children in reaching meaningful goals. If you’ve worked with kids before—whether in childcare, schools, or at home—and love helping them learn and grow, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Job Overview

We are looking for caring, patient, and dependable individuals to work one-on-one with children in their homes. You’ll be helping children build life skills, gain confidence, and achieve small milestones that make a big difference. No prior experience is required— we’ll provide all the training you need to become a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within your first month.

What You’ll Do

  • Work directly with children in their homes to teach skills like communication, play, and daily routines.
  • Follow simple, step-by-step plans (created by a supervisor) to help kids meet their goals.
  • Play and interact with children while encouraging positive behavior and progress.
  • Keep notes on activities and small successes to share with your supervisor and the child’s family.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children and families while providing support and encouragement.

What We Offer

  • Full Training Provided : We will teach you everything you need to know in your first month to become a credentialed Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) —a professional certification that opens new doors in childcare, education, and behavioral support.
  • Competitive Pay :
  • Start at up to $20 / hour after completing your training and certification.

  • Already certified as an RBT? Start at $20 / hour right away!
  • Career Growth : Gain valuable skills and experience that can lead to new opportunities in education, childcare, and behavior support.
  • Flexible Schedules : Work part-time or full-time, with consistent hours that fit your schedule (afternoons and early evenings are most common).
  • A Supportive Team : You’ll have supervisors and teammates who care about you and want to see you succeed.
  • Who You Are

  • You enjoy working with children and helping them learn and grow.
  • You are patient, compassionate, and dependable.
  • You have experience with kids—whether in childcare, babysitting, teaching, or working with family members.
  • You’re open to learning something new and excited to receive training.
  • You can work effectively in both quiet and noisy environments.
  • You’re comfortable working independently with little or no supervision.
  • Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to children’s homes.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean 39-month driving record.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to starting).
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check to obtain a DPS Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card . If you are on probation, DPS may deny your clearance, which could result in termination of employment.
  • Fingerprint clearance must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work in diverse environments, including both quiet and noisy settings.
  • Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re looking for a job where you can truly help kids thrive, build relationships, and grow your own skills, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to start your training and become part of a team that cares.
