The BCBA will assist individuals and families by delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, performing functional assessments, creating treatment plans, and overseeing their implementation. This position involves supervising staff and maintaining continuous collaboration with families and care teams to guarantee effective and compassionate support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and analyses to develop behavior plans aimed at reducing maladaptive behaviors and teaching appropriate behaviors.
- Function in a supervisory capacity, overseeing programming, training Behavior Therapists, and guiding staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Develop, facilitate, and conduct training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), including discrete trial training (DTT) and natural environment training (NET).
- Design and oversee data collection system to establish baselines, monitor progress, and make evidence-based adjustments to treatment plans.
- Provide direct model teaching and instructional supports, including in-service training, practicum supervision, and class instruction as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans/behavior plans and monitor fidelity of implementation.
- Provide ongoing training and supervision for paraprofessionals and ABA implementers on ABA principles and behavior strategies.
- Collaborate with families and community partners, ensuring ongoing communication and consultation.
- Maintain documentation, including entering session notes within 72 hours.
- Stay current with continuing education requirements and implement new research and best practices.
- Ensure all data, reports, and communication are organized and meet agency and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director and/or Owner.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education or a related human services field.
- Minimum 1 year of BCBA certification
- Successful completion of internship/training in ABA strategies for individuals with developmental disorders.
- Competence in: Behavior management and instructional skills.
- Competence in oral and written communication.
- Organizational skills and interpersonal relations.
- Knowledge of DTT programming and ABA implementation.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to utilize office tools (phone, fax).
- Strong time management, with the ability to respond promptly to calls, texts, and emails.
- Flexible availability: Monday–Friday, 3 PM–8 PM (minimum).
- Reliable, insured transportation in Minnesota.
- Current driver insurance and all required training/certifications.
