Senior Cybersecurity Solution Architect

Client Location: Remote
Engagement Period: April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025
Working Hours: 8 hours daily, Monday to Friday (excluding stat holidays and mandatory time off as specified by the client). Core business hours are between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (Central Time).
The client is looking to engage a Senior Cybersecurity Solution Architect with a well-rounded skill set that encompasses knowledge in identity, devices, networking, applications, and data. The successful candidate will need to understand various security controls and how they can be architected for resiliency, automation, monitoring, alerting, and continuous improvement. This engagement will be effective from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.
Requirements
- Certifications: CISSP, CRISC, CCSP or CCSK, CISA or CISM, TOGAF.
- Certifications considered an asset: SANS GIAC, CCZT, SABSA.
- Knowledgeable with NIST CSF.
- Knowledgeable in the following industry standards: CIS CSC, CSA CCM, PCI DSS.
- Experience creating and implementing enterprise cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Five (5) years of cybersecurity experience with at least 5 years of direct cybersecurity architecture experience.
- Knowledgeable in Zero Trust Architecture.
- Experience developing non-functional RFP requirements.
- Experience in creating and contributing to technology solution architectures.
- Proficient writing skills and working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Proficient skills in working with Visio and have a working copy of Visio.
- Experience working with ArchiMate.
- Experience in cybersecurity risk management and third-party risk management.
- Experience in API security.
- Experience and knowledge of security requirements and controls for SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Experience working with firewall and networking technologies.
- Experience with Secure Services Edge (SSE) technologies.
- Experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) technologies.
- Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies.
- Knowledge of various multi-factor authentication (MFA) technologies.
- Understanding and experience with identity governance and administration (IGA) technologies.
- Understanding and experience with Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM).
- Experience in architecting and analyzing technology solutions disaster and recovery requirements.
Responsibilities
- Time will be split between the Essential System Modernization Roadmap (ESMR) Project and Cybersecurity Program development.
- All work will be done in collaboration and direction from the Senior Enterprise Architect - Cybersecurity.
- Creation of a Zero Trust Reference Architecture based on the client's ZTA Roadmap.
- NIST CSF controls mapping and gaps analysis continuous improvement.
- Standards and policies continuous improvement.
- Risk Management program continuous improvements.
- Research and document cybersecurity technologies required for the ESMR project.
- Work with the ESMR Architecture team in creating the Technical Architecture Evaluation & Solution Options (TAESO).
- Create RFP cybersecurity requirements for the ESMR project.
