As a Financial Benefits Coordinator at Horizon, you will be responsible for…
- Coordination of all benefits related to nontraditional class of employees
- Salary/benefit projection for staff interested joining the program
- Regular reconciliations of clinical units to units paid
- Annual calculation of health insurance eligibility
- Creation and distribution of analysis reports to managers
- Management of productivity and incentive bonuses
- Oversee benefit administration in UKG (our payroll provider)
- Manage arrears process for missed deductions
- Audit benefit vendor EDI files and correct issues
- Review term life insurance setup and administration in UKG
- Correct supplemental benefit errors identified by payroll
- Overall benefit review and analysis
- Evaluation of current vendors and programs
- Research new and emerging benefits
- Build relationships with vendors
- Assist with annual retirement plan reconciliation
*Please note that this is a finance position and not a Human Resource position, but HR experience is valuable for this role!

What makes you a great candidate?
We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 1-year UKG management experience with 5 years financial experience required.
- OR -
- Associates with minimum of 1 -year of UKG management experience with 3 years financial experience required.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with payroll and/or human resources.
Location:
This position is located at our corporate office at 55 Dodge Road, Getzville, NY 14068. There is a possibility for hybrid work after successful 90 days onboarding period in this role.
Hours:
This position is full-time with flexible daytime hours from Monday – Friday.
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. This position starts at an hourly rate of $27.69-$29.69. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
Physical demands associated with this position include:
- Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
- Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
