Do you have the summer off, but you are looking for part-time work? Great News, Horizon will have a School-Based Summer Camp at the South Side Pride program located in the Eastern Heights Rec Center in Elyria this summer. It is warming up out there and Horizon Education Centers is planning the camp activities specifically for middle school student! We are looking for energetic individuals who can help make this summer great for the kids we serve. Apply today and come be a part of the team!
Seasonal Summer Camp School-Based Staff
Pay rate range: 14.25 to $17.00 per hour.
You will receive prepaid employment screenings and onboarding. Summer Camp T-shirts also provided.
Camp Details:
Dates: June 9, 2025, through July 11, 2025. Monday to Friday. No camp July 4, 2025.
Hours:
Mondays: 8am-4:30 pm / Tuesday-Thursday: 12pm-4:30pm / Fridays Off
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the care and supervision of the children in the classroom and assigned group. This includes building positive relationships, and classroom management.
Plan and implement with the Site Coordinator engaging age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for each day.
Assist with breakfast and lunch tasks.
Build community within the children's group.
Maintain documentation for services provided and attendance records.
Work as part of a team with school-based staff members and the Site Coordinator.
Build positive relationships with the children and their families.
Have fun with the students!

- Have a willingness to follow ODJFS rules and regulations
- Demonstrate cross-cultural competency while working with Horizon's diverse population
- Are able to be prompt and reliable
Salary : $14 - $17
