Overview

Horizon Farm Credit is actively seeking a Regional Vice President of Ag Lending. Qualified candidate may work in our Meadville, PA, Coudersport, PA, Butler, PA, New Stanton, PA, Martinsburg, PA or Reedsville, PA branch location. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, organized, detail-oriented, and analytical individual excited to grow and develop our Allegheny lending team.

Position Description : Join our team as an RVP of Ag Lending, where you'll work under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Ag Lending. The Regional Vice President of Ag Lending is responsible for directing business development, negotiating, and loan servicing within the region. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic marketing plan focused on achieving growth and profitability goals. The RVP of Ag Lending will lead a team to build strong customer relationships and promote business services to enhance customer success.

In this role, you will lead staff to achieve individual and team goals while effectively communicating and assuming performance accountability. You will collaborate with the regional credit officer as a credit resource to assist with maintaining credit quality and credit administration standards through the delivery of sound credit and financial services within FCA, Bank, and Association regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

Inspires and coaches staff by communicating clear expectations and maintaining a high standard of accountability.
Collaboratively work with and lead the regional team with support from the Ag Lending Managers and Regional Credit Officer to support ACA and regional initiatives.
Coordinates leadership assistance and leverages the Ag Lending Managers and Regional Credit Officers to support employee growth and development through training and mentoring.
Leads and drives change by effectively communicating change processes and encouraging the team to identify and adopt innovative processes that add value.
Serves as an advocate and liaison between staff and senior leadership.
Serves a key role in field management structure in developing and overseeing association initiatives.

Regional Management

Effectively and efficiently manages all ag lending functions within the region through the appropriate delegation and monitoring of work and projects.

Ensures a competent, motivated staff through training, counseling, supervision, and review of activity and results.

Develops regional marketing strategies, and executes plan identified in the marketing budget.

Leads association-wide initiatives or special projects or assignments.

Supervises preparation and compilation of the fiscal year budget for area of responsibility.

Business Growth

Maximize quality business growth to meet profitability objectives.

Create and implement a regional business plan to promote growth of all products and services.

Coach staff to develop sales skills and follow market development plans.

Assists staff to develop and follow an action-oriented market development plan including proactive pipeline management and pre-planned sales activities.

Customer Success

Builds strong relationships and provides and coaches on the appropriate communication to create maximum value for customers.

Holds team accountable to embrace Sales Culture by leading team to effectively tools to manage customer relationships, enhance team communications, and keep requests / projects moving towards completion.

Credit Management

Actively supports differential credit administration and practices constructive credit principles to achieve Association quality objectives.

Demonstrates credit skills and leads the region to employ sound credit administration practices.

Helps ensure staff understand and meet compliance regulations as well as proper classification of loan portfolio in an accurate and timely manner.

Models the effective prescreening techniques on proposed requests to achieve credit quality goals.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Finance, Agriculture or equivalent experience.

Advanced management skills with 8-10 years of agriculture-related credit work experience, including five years of supervisory experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to initiate, organize, and prioritize work while maintaining confidentiality.

Handles duties within the required time expectations, delivering excellent internal and external customer service.

Knowledge of computer software applications, credit, and accounting policies and procedures.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Previous Farm Credit experience preferred.

Ability to make assertive and sound business decisions.

Adaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.

Ability to travel to / from HFC branch offices, associations, AgFirst, or other facilities as deemed necessary.

Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required.

Salary range : $127,200 - $160,300, depending on experience.
