Job Title: Operations Manager- Distribution Center
Location: McDonough, GA (onsite daily)
Role Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Partner with AGM to plan and execute daily, monthly, and long-term workflow for DC operation.
- Coordinate with DC management team to prioritize projects and tasks to be completed on time.
- Work with DC Team as well as internal business units to meet the expectations of Horizon Group USA’s customers, shipping orders on-time and in full as required.
- Help develop, consistently review, and deliver the DC operational P&L as well as meet designated Key Performance Indicators.
- Assist in driving a culture of continuous operational improvement within the facility.
- Participate in the hiring and continuous professional development of the DC management and hourly staff
- Maintain a safe, clean and accident-free operation.
- Work with management teams and GM to update, manage and implement the standard policies, procedures and practices of the operation including safety regulations, productivity standards, and HGU Employee Handbook policies.
- Review and manage all aspects of employee performance, including reliability, productivity, and adherence to company policy. Recognize Teams and individuals for positive results and develop individual performance improvement plans for Team Members with opportunities.
- Interact with Human Resources to assist with HR issues including employee benefits, leave of absence requests and other topics where HR support is needed.
- Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other service providers for present and future business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position manages 4-6 direct reports.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of distribution center/warehouse operations experience required
- Ability to work Core shift: Monday- Thursday, 6a-4p
- Flexible schedule to sometimes include weekends when needed
- Experience implementing a WMS is desirable
- Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
