Position Summary & Qualifications
We are seeking Licensed professional for an ACT Substance Abuse Specialsit to provide direct treatment, rehabilitative, and supportive services in a community setting to ACT members. The individual will serves as the ACT team specialist for substance use issues by proving both individual and group therapy to team members as well as providing training and expertise to the staff members regarding substance use treatment.
Qualifications Required
- Master degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family, Psychology, Social Work, or directly related field
- Must meet eligibility for AZBBHE licensure.
- Experience or knowledge of best practices therapeutic approaches.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid driver’s license with appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with HHW’s liability insurance carrier is required.
- Substance Use treatment knowledge/experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check
Qualifications Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience working in Integrated Healthcare, Behavioral Health, or Primary Care environment- prior ACT team experience.
- Advanced knowledge of cultural diversity and sensitivity
- Certified or licensed as Independent Practitioner by State of Arizona

- Able to operate phone, Fax, copier, and a computer.
- Able to operate Agency vehicle.
