Qualifications
The primary role of the Behavior Coach is to provide behavior management, parenting skills, assist with living skills, and mentor children as needed. The Behavior Coach will assist with the coordination of case management services and form positive supportive relationships with children and their families using ways that adhere to the Arizona 12 Principles.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors Degree in a behavioral health or directly related field OR any combination education/experience that meets BHT requirements as stipulated by AZDHS/BHS.
- Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record, home telephone and reliable transportation. Transports participants to scheduled activities.
- Certification in first aid, CPR and CPI (HHW will provide training if candidate does not possess current certifications).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Have availability of home telephone for easy access of Agency contact.
- Able to work evening hours as needed.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and successful completion of a background check.
