Qualifications
We are seeking a Medical Assistant dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and their families.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Qualifications Required:
- HS diploma or GED plus Medical Assistant certificate from an accredited program
- Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, MVD report, and reliable transportation
- Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health records
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and successful completion of a background check
Mental and Emotional:

Mental and emotional requirements include prioritizing workload, decision-making ability, using sound judgment to field inquiries concerning administrative, clinical and operational concerns and ability to greet and deal effectively with participants, families, staff and community members.
Physical:
- Long periods of sitting, ability to bend, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to operate phone, Fax, copier, and a computer
- Series of Hepatitis B shots or declination of same at hire
- Proof of negative TB test or declination of same at hire
- Encounter occasionally hazards such as, but not limited to, bodily fluids and potentially infectious materials
Qualifications Preferred but not required:
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.
- Previous front and back-office experience in a primary care setting
This position promotes and restores patients' health by maintaining the day-to-day operation of the patient care area; assisting support staff; working with the clinic provider to assure physical and psychological support for patients at the level for which the Medical Assistant was trained and certified.
