Qualifications

The Clinical Coordinator II - First Episode Team (FET) will ensure the quality of services to clients, coordinate day-to-day operations of the FET, and recommend and implement changes that would improve the service delivery of services. This position is responsible for providing clinical and administrative supervision along with performance evaluations in a timely manner. The Clinical Coordinator will serve as a clinical and practical resource for team and complete program reports per contract deliverables. This position does require the individual to be available on call 24 hours/day, 7 days a week unless otherwise scheduled as part of a rotation or absence has been arranged

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health related field with two (2) years supervisory experience and/or clinical program development in pertinent setting. Generally supervises 5 or more Full time employees.
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona in Social Work, Counseling or Addiction (Associate or Independent level)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and have clear background check
  • Possess valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Demonstrable theoretical knowledge in field.
  • Personnel management capabilities.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed and to be on call
  • Extensive knowledge and background working with youth and young adults
  • Ability to use CPI or other crisis de-escalation and behavior management techniques in crisis situations.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to develop treatment plan based on participants needs.
  • Demonstrates ability to distinguish between alcohol and other drug-related symptoms and other pre-existing physical problems or pathologic behaviors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment, e.g., computer, copier and FAX.
  • Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
  • Certifications in First-Aid, CPR and CPI (Crisis De-Escalation), training will be provided if the candidate does not possess active certification.
  • Have a Tuberculosis screening test and provide evidence of being free from infectious tuberculosis prior to providing services and additional TB testing or screening questionnaires will be performed annually.
  • Possess the physical, mental, and cognitive ability to perform specific clinical and/or tasks required by the position without posing a direct threat to the safety and security of patients.

  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to greet and deal effectively with participants, families, staff, and community members.
  • Position requires discretion and judgment decisions, using sound judgment to field inquiries concerning administrative, clinical and operation concerns.
  • Ability to greet and deal effectively with participants, families, staff, and facility visitors.

Physical

  • Long periods of sitting, ability to bend, lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Must know how to file, unpack, and store office supplies.
  • Must be able to physically operate a telephone, copier, calculator, and computer.
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle.

Qualifications Preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with youth and/or young adults.
  • Independent Licensure by AZBBHE
  • Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of special populations such as substance abuse.
  • Knowledgeable of benefit and entitlements process and available community resources.
