Horizon Health Advance Practice Provider for the Emergency Department- Paris, IL
Horizon Health has opportunities for full time (36 hours per week, 3-12 hour shifts 10 : 30am-11pm) Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role to join our growing Emergency Services Department in Paris, IL.

The APP will work with our Emergency Medicine Physicians to care for patients seeking Emergency Services. This role will assess, diagnose, and treat patients on an acute, urgent to emergent basis. This includes maintaining individual patient records, performing medical examinations, and prescribing medications as well as dealing with acute or specialized medical issues.
Position Requirements :
- Possess current and valid license from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations
- Officially accredited to practice as an Advance Practice Provider
- 2-3 years of experience as an ED RN preferred
- Meet all state requirements and obtain valid Prescriptive Authority
- Maintain currency in all state and national legal requirements to practice.
- Maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (recommend Trauma certification)
- Competent in the use of electronic medical records and information systems in providing effective documentation of patient care.
- Ability to achieve high performance working with diverse groups of individuals and leadership in a team environment.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills, multitasking ability, and effective communication skills to ensure patients are well informed and the ED is well promoted internally and to the public.

Pay Range :
Pay ranges from $104K to 140K (rate of pay is based on applicable years of experience)

Our Emergency Department is staffed with Board Certified Emergency Physicians. Our Family Practice has 20 physicians and providers in multiple locations, with specialist support in behavioral health, general surgery, women’s services, orthopedics, pain, dermatology, podiatry, endocrinology, wound care, urology, urogynecology, and cardiology. Additionally, we have 11 visiting specialists that see patients in Paris each month. The hospital has a 24 / 7 hospitalist service and convenient care for patients. We have a physician and provider friendly EMR. In 2023, we completed expansion projects including adding an outpatient dialysis center, home health services, pre-anesthesia clinic, and cutting-edge radiology updates.
