What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Visit Nurse position at Horizon Hospice & Palliative Care?
Weekend nurse- Full-time Friday, Saturday and Sunday 0830-2100, Part-time Saturday and Sunday 0830-2100
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a hospice setting, ensuring comfort and dignity during their end-of-life journey. This role requires strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with families and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients and families in a hospice or palliative care setting.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care.
- Develop and implement strategies for symptom management and end-of-life care.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families about the disease process, treatment options, and available resources.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families throughout the course of their illness.
- Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards.
- RN license
- Ability to drive to patients within Spokane County
- Preferred hospice experience
- Proficient patient assessment and care planning
- Ability to manage complex patient needs and provide compassionate care
