JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Receptionist will be directly responsible to the Office Manager. This position will have close contact with administrative staff members and other Hospice staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Telephone communication, data entry, typing, and filing.
2. Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner and ensure that all guest sign Horizon Hospice & Palliative Care guest log.
3. Maintain work area with a clean, professional appearance.
4. Answer phones in a prompt, courteous, calm and collected manner.
5. Transfers calls to appropriate destination.
6. Work in cooperation with all staff members.
7. Actively participate in Horizon Hospice QAPI program as mandated by Medicare.
8. Other duties as assigned by Administrator, Clinical Supervisor, Outreach, Medical Records, Billing & Accounting, and Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma required; college education preferred. Experience with multi-line phone systems required. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Possess ability to use discretion, tact, courtesy and confidentiality. Detail oriented, proficient computer skills, primarily word processing, spreadsheet knowledge, 10-key and data entry. Experience with Microsoft Outlook preferred.
