Director of Investor and Leadership Development

Horizon Point Consulting, Inc. is recruiting for our client The Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce to hire a relationship-driven Director of Investor and Leadership Development!

Join the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce as our Director of Investor and Leadership Development, where you’ll play a key role in strengthening investor engagement and shaping the next generation of leaders.

As the Director of Investor and Leadership Development, you’ll be at the forefront of cultivating meaningful relationships with Chamber investors and members, ensuring they experience the full value of their investment. You will also lead premier leadership programs that equip professionals and students with the skills and networks to shape the future of our community.

• Serve as the primary liaison for Chamber investors, ensuring they are actively engaged and see measurable value in their partnership.
• Develop and implement strategic outreach initiatives to recruit and retain investors and members.
• Communicate the Chamber’s 5-year strategic vision, demonstrating the impact of membership.
• Plan and execute exclusive VIP investor events, fostering high-level connections and collaboration.

• Direct the Adult Excellence in Leadership program (10 sessions, community project, graduation).
• Lead the Edge Student Leadership program (selection process, 9 sessions, 4 community projects, graduation).
• Organize and oversee the Montgomery Trip for both adults and students, providing insight into state government and business advocacy.

• Collaborate on flagship Chamber events such as the Small Business Awards Luncheon and Annual Meeting.
• Develop and manage budgets related to investor relations and leadership programs.

• Act as a visible Chamber advocate, engaging in community initiatives and volunteerism.
• Support Chamber communications, marketing, and general operations as needed.

We’re seeking an energetic, strategic, and relationship-driven professional who thrives on fostering business connections and empowering leaders.

✔ Proven ability to develop and maintain high-value relationships with business investors and stakeholders.

✔ Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a talent for engagement and storytelling.

✔ Creativity in designing value-driven investor programs and leadership initiatives.

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.

✔ Background in program facilitation, membership relations, economic development, or nonprofit leadership is a plus.

• Preferred: Associate degree or higher.
• Considered: 5 years of relevant experience in business development, investor relations, or leadership programs.

• Full-time (40-45 hours per week), with occasional early mornings and evenings for events.
• Limited travel for professional development.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor settings as needed.
