Job Responsibilities
- Instruction: Teach six daily periods of core subjects, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- Planning: Two daily planning periods provided for curriculum preparation and student evaluation.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with state standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and success.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the school’s academic program.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians about academic progress and behavioral expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Ability to obtain a teaching license through the Ohio Department of Education (candidates with licensure pending or in process are encouraged to apply).
- Successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.
Additional Opportunities
We are offering the unique chance for the selected candidate to begin mentoring with our current elementary staff for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This mentorship is compensated at a daily substitute rate and provides valuable hands-on experience with our school’s systems and procedures.
