Building Substitute Teacher

Horizon Science Academy Primary is looking for a Building Substitute join our team to educate students in grades PreK-2. This is a full-time position. Candidate will report to HSA Primary every school day and will assist or substitute in classrooms as needed. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly in different circumstances is a must. Teaching Responsibilities:

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Effectively deliver lessons prepared by classrooms teachers or administration.
• Build rapport with students while maintaining appropriate student behavior.
• Keep the classroom environment organized, attractive and safe.
• Aide classroom teachers during instructional activities.
• Interact frequently and respectfully with students.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student needs or concerns.
• Share best practices with other teachers and collaborate with them to improve instructional and assessment practices.

Education & Experience:

• Valid OH Substitute or Teaching certificate/license (or willingness to apply for license)
