Math Title Teacher (K-6)

Horizon Science Academy Westerville is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Math Title/Resource Teacher to join our team and inspire young learners in K-6 grades. The ideal candidate must be committed to fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to prepare students for future success. Teaching Responsibilities:

• Support the school's mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies toward students, parents/guardians and coworkers.
• Design and implement engaging Math lessons aligned with state and school standards.
• Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction which reflects observations and goals of individual children.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Assess and track student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
• Work with the faculty and school leadership to frequently examine student data for ongoing refinement of instruction and assessment.
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communications and conferences to discuss student progress.
• Maintain an organized, attractive and safe classroom environment.
• Have an understanding of PBIS strategies or willingness to learn.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree
• Valid OH teaching certificate/license or must be in the process of obtaining a valid OH teaching certificate/license in subject area to be taught

Compensation & Benefits:

• Compensation packages are competitive and commensurate with experience. Horizon Science Academy offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision, life and disability coverage. Employees participate in Ohio STRS (state retirement system). Tuition Reimbursement available up to 4K per year.
