In this role, you’ll make a difference in the lives of people with substance abuse challenges, and often with co-occurring conditions. You’ll use and grow your skills in compassionate care, crisis intervention and de-escalation, in a supportive and inclusive work environment. You’ll have the opportunity provide our community with substance abuse treatment to help people who are just discovering possibilities in their journey, going from a place of hopelessness to a place where they are valued and have the potential for a better life.
Service Delivery:
- Maintain inventories of all food service, household, and personal hygiene products for Cronin and Chrysalis.
- Prepare and maintain a four-week menu plan.
- Ensure all utensils and areas of kitchen are always clean and organized.
- Evaluate, compare and pursue competitive pricing on inventory items
- Maintain food service and household items within budget.
- Prepare daily meal service according to menu plan.
- Develop cost estimates for catering services and special programming as assigned by Program Manager.
Team Support:
- Work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team at facility.
- Answer phones as needed
- Attend all staff meetings and required agency meetings unless excused.
- Participate in daily shift change and report concerns and alerts.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Program Manager
Quality Assurance Support:
- Oversee the cleanliness of kitchen, dining room, storage room and food service equipment.
- Ensure kitchen, dining room and food storage are in compliance with Health and Safety standards.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Substance Use Disorders
- Must have current food handling certification by state certifying agency.
What else is required?
- Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record and car insurance.
- Current CPR/First Aid certificate desirable.
- Fingerprinting/drug testing required at time of hire.
- TB Test
