Horizon Sign Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Sign Estimator with sign industry experience to join our team. The Estimator/Project Coordinator is a professional, solution-oriented individual who pays attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced team environment, and can efficiently manage many projects simultaneously. JOB SUMMARY:
The Sign Estimator is responsible for producing sales that meet gross profit margin objectives. He/she manages and converts sales leads into clients by analyzing their sign and graphics needs, preparing job proposals for customer review, and closing the sale. He/she then coordinates with the production/installation team to fulfill service and quality objectives. He/she manages the client experience with the company and its employees. Other duties may be assigned, that may or may not include the following: pick-up & delivery of materials, supplies, signs, etc. File & proof generation, follow-up on proofing with customers, lead generation activities, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a positive first point of contact for incoming leads.
- Complete site surveys, including taking measurements, photos, and detailed notes to determine the scope of projects.
- Create detailed estimates that reflect the scope of work required by the customer and meet gross profit margin goals.
- Provide graphics and production team with a detailed briefing for each job sold.
- Organize all sales and survey paperwork, and track job progress to ensure management and customer expectations are met.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout all phases of the client's project and ensure that all customers are satisfied with the results.
- Ensure all incoming calls related to sales activities are responded to promptly and logged/tracked appropriately.
- Ensure all authorizations are obtained before work begins and procedures for collecting funds on jobs.
- Meet quarterly and annual sales goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess a valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance with a commercial-use rider. Must also have a reliable vehicle.
- Minimum of three year's experience in the position of Estimator for the company of comparable size or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting and speaking in public.
- Ability to exercise integrity at the moment of choice and think/reason strategically.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job estimates and reports.
- Advanced computer skills including software, hardware, programs, and application.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as gross margin, markups, discounts, interest, percentages, area, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of introductory algebra and geometry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as map reading, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak English effectively with customers, employees, and general public.
JOB DETAILS:
- Position: Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week)
- Pay: (commensurate with experience)

- Work Location: Office in Brentwood. Sales calls and site surveys throughout the Greater St. Louis area.
- Typical hours: 8 am to 5 pm (occasional evenings and weekends)
