PARAPROFESSIONALS – Bergen County, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking qualified paraprofessionals in Bergen County, NJ. The positions available range from 1 : 1 support services to in-class support services with special needs students. The role of the paraprofessionals will be to aid students in academics, daily living activities, and behavioral management. The ideal candidates will have previous paraprofessional or relatable experience in a school setting with special needs children.

Schedule :

Monday through Friday, standard school hours.
Hours dependent on school setting.

Responsibilities :

Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students

Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs

Assist student(s) in daily living activities and behavior management

Supervise student(s) in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, and / or on field trips

Support student(s) with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs / 504 Plans

Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Excellent communication skills

Must have experience in a relatable position

Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.

Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma (required); or

30 completed credits from an institution of higher learning (preferred); or

An Associate’s Degree or higher (preferred)
