Overview
The Homemaker/Personal Care Professional will empower adults with developmental disabilities while supporting them daily. One must have the ability to work as a team player. Be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; handle sensitive face-to-face contacts, maintain a friendly atmosphere and be willing to have fun! Must have a valid driver's license. Will be required to transport individuals for activities, doctor's appointments, etc. Must have adequate transportation to complete job responsibilities. Training provided.
Full -time, Part -time work available in multiple locations in Coshocton County.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Document care provided accurately in compliance with company policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in personal care or healthcare is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes.
- Completion of any necessary background checks or training as mandated by state regulations.
