Our client is seeking a dedicated Sr Data Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role is an 11-month contract position, requiring successful candidates to complete a background check and drug screen upon offer acceptance.

The team primarily utilizes SAS, Python, and SQL skills for relational databases including Snowflake, Oracle, Teradata, and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of data analytics programs and processes.
- Collect, interpret, and aggregate data from various sources to support programs and applications.
- Understand data requirements and business needs to develop data tools such as dashboards and data visualizations using SAS and PowerBI.
- Use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis, and interpret data.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
- Recognize problems and make recommendations for solutions.
- Interact with business users and analyze and address/resolve issues brought up by them.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- 5 years of experience as a programmer using SAS including SAS Data Step, Proc SQL, and SAS/Macros.
- 5 years of data analysis experience - ability to work with large volumes of data, disparate relational database and familiarity with various database technologies.
- 5 years of experience with developing/writing SQL queries.
- Ability to understand and support modern large-scale data pipelines to support data integration for reporting & analytics and machine learning features.
- Progressive work experience in a data analytics or related role.
- Demonstrated analytical, and business acumen.
Preferred Skills:
- Advance SAS programming certification.
- Experience in developing applications using Python and PySpark.
- ETL/ELT experience with Apache Spark, Databricks and Snowflake SQL.
- Big Data - Hadoop/Hive and Hadoop/Spark experience.
- Health Care experience.
