What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr HR Benefits Administrator position at Horizontal Talent?
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS and other various systems to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Assists with new-hire orientations and continual education to employees regarding health and welfare benefit.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process qualified life events, status changes.
- Collaboration and coordination with health and welfare benefit vendors
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Support leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to employee status and changes.
- Responds to inquiries from managers and employees relating to all company offered health and welfare benefits.
- Leads the open enrollment process.
- Audits various HR systems to ensure accuracy of data and the corresponding vendor billing.
- Project work as directed.
- Partner with HR Shared Services and Finance for integration files, audits, and reconciliations.
- Provide guidance on complex benefit situations and resolving employee benefit issues and escalating to manager as necessary.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software (intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred)
- Familiar with Paylocity HRIS and automated enrollment tools
- Multi-state experience
What you bring:
- 5 years of progressively more challenging benefit responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study or equivalent experience.
- SHRM or Benefits certification preferred, or the willingness to obtain certification within the first year of employment.

Compensation - In this role, you'll enjoy a competitive base salary. The total compensation range is between $65,000 and $80,000, depending on your location and level of experience.
