RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position will operate in a collaborative team environment in the HR Solution Center and will work closely with Corporate and Field Human Resource team members globally. A successful incumbent will have opportunities for a human resources rotational development program to continue career and skill development and grow human resources expertise and leadership skills. Positions within this program may include HR Solution Center Supervisors – Health and Welfare, Help Desk, HRIS, and Talent Acquisition.

This position will primarily be responsible for supervising the administration of the company’s health and welfare benefit programs, including leave administration, the annual enrollment process, wellness and work/life employee assistance programs (EAP), ensuring compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and managing various vendor relationships.

The duties/responsibilities include:

  • Manage vendor relationships related to leave administration, wellness, flexible spending, EAP and life insurance.
  • Oversee the administration of the health and welfare benefits including medical plan, prescription drug plan, dental plan, vision plan, life insurance, flexible spending, short and long-term disability, leave, and wellness programs.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Lead the open enrollment process annually.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, administer and continually upgrade well-being programs, including outcomes-based assessments and screenings, wellness fairs, and other programs and communications aimed to improve team member overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with a third-party vendor on our company’s benefit resource website, knowmorestressless.com, to educate our team members on our company’s benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent highly related work experience.
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and organizational skills.
  • Proven critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills, and project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with well-developed written, and verbal communication and facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong pattern of initiative and achievement.
  • Knowledge or ability to quickly learn a variety of computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis in Excel).
  • Ability to work successfully both independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently in a high-impact position, with deadline and resource constraints.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

  • System administration experience, ideally within the Oracle Cloud environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of the company’s organizational structure.

Location: Corporate Office, Austin MN


A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.


At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the HR Solution Center Supervisor role is between $76,700-$107,375 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
