What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jennie-O Turkey Store - 2nd Shift Storeroom Attendant - Barron, WI position at Hormel Foods Family of Companies?
Job Responsibilities
1. Maintain the maintenance spare parts inventory with accurate records through use of the Maintenance Management System
2. Completes purchase requisitions as required by corporate purchasing
3. Issues parts to maintenance, refrigeration, and other plant personal
4. Communicates with maintenance, refrigeration, and supervisory employees to ensure the correct parts are on hand when needed
5. Track parts inventory daily
6. Orders, receives, and restocks maintenance parts
7. Keeps the parts room clean and organized
8. Maintains and communicates receiving records
9. Assist the storeroom coordinator and other duties as assigned
10. Manage picklists and cycle counts.
11. Collection and closing of work orders and P.M.'s using the Enterprise Asset Management system AM
12. Assist with storeroom second and third shift vacation coverage and other projects associated with the Storeroom
13. Ability to work weekends to cover production and flexible to cover other shifts when needed
14. Will need to cover base with another employee on first shift
15.Communication through phone/two-way radio
16. Take and relay Emergency Response Team calls
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One-year industrial work experience
* PHYSICAL: No work restrictions prohibiting standing for long periods of time
* No work restrictions prohibiting lifting 50 pounds, able to climb stairs and ladders
* Ability to multitask between telephone calls, radio calls and servicing the counter
* Ability to read, write and speak English
* Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels
Preferred Qualifications
* Two years industrial experience in poultry industry
* Previous data entry (computer skills) experience
* Machine parts/mechanical parts knowledge of familiarity
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and parts manuals
* No work restrictions prohibiting lifting 50 pounds
* Good typing skills
