Poult Service Room Technician
Full time – hourly
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. The base hiring pay for this role is $20.15 per hour.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
- Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
Job Responsibilities
- Load poults on conveyer for servicing
- Confirm box number and flock numbers match
- Careful handling of poults and attention to poult density
- Stack Poult filled boxes
- Transfer to holding room
- Understand and meet the hatchery sanitation/biosecurity policies and procedures
- Perform all required equipment and work area clean up
- Occasional work on Saturdays or Holidays
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work a 10 to 12 hour shift
- Basic math skills
- Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands
- Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
