What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rochelle Foods - HR Trainer (2nd/3rd shift) position at Hormel Foods Family of Companies?
HR Trainer - 2nd/3rd shift
Starting Pay is $22.70 per hour $0.75 shift differential.
Rochelle Foods LLC has openings for a HR Trainer position. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Rochelle, IL and enjoy competitive wages along with a competitive benefits package. Current vacancy will work 2nd shift, specific schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
Applicants must be willing and capable of:
- Working a day, evening, third and/or weekend shift
- Working in and office environment, but will be exposed to average temperatures of 35-45 degrees or less in the facility
- Follow our strict sanitation requirements, including but not limited to wearing hair nets, beard nets, and washing hands frequently, no jewelry, no nail polish or fake nails, etc.
- Following our strict safety requirements, including wearing a hard hat, ear and eye protection, vinyl gloves and hand/foot protection.
- Practice safe working procedures in accordance with safety policies of Rochelle Foods LLC.
The person in this position:
- Translates for assigned plant meetings and documents, People Safety/ Food Safety.
- Conducts monthly trainings including, label verification, forklift, metal detector, LOTO, chemicals.
- Conducts new hire orientations.
- Conducts department specific safety training.
- Works with new hires around their assigned department.
- Is responsible for conducting daily follow up with new hires in their first week.
- Helps applicant’s complete applications in Oracle.
- Assists new employees with benefits enrollment.
- Assists the medical department with translation.
- Translates during the interview process and/or investigations
- Assists supervisors with huddle meetings, performance reviews and disciplinary meetings.
- Has broad knowledge of Oracle, company benefits, payroll/attendance, company policies, Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Cultural Beliefs, ergonomics, disciplinary programs, good manufacturing practices (GMPs), chemical safety, lockout-tagout training, and other workplace safety programs.
Preferred Experience
- Bilingual (preferably Karen, Swahili, Burmese, and/or Spanish)
- Flexibility to work different days and shifts as needed
- Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately work with numbers and attention to detail required.
- Ability to learn plant-based computer applications (Oracle, ADP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

New Employees:
