RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position in is a very high exposure role with a wide range of customers and:
- Works cross functionally with leadership in Purchasing, Finance, Plant Operations, Treasury, and various other departments to drive continuous improvement.
- Is responsible for the centralized AP process and compliance of associated policies and controls.
- Oversees the timely processing of invoices and credit memos for all locations.
- Manages two Lead Analyst and five AP Analyst roles at the core of the Centralized AP Process.
- Has thorough knowledge of Oracle Accounts Payable, DataServ, EDI (Electronic Invoice Process), legacy feeder payment systems, integrations and accrual processes to answer questions and serve as a resource for issue resolution.
- Oversees the closing of the AP subledger, review of AP balance sheet reconciliations, and ensures timely and accurate 1099 reporting.
- Continuously evaluates and suggest process improvements to Management and the COE.
- As a subject matter expert, support the COE with system upgrades, on-going testing, and implementations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Successful salaried employment in an accounting, audit or treasury function.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A pattern of leadership and initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Well-developed software skills including Oracle and Excel.
Location: Austin, MN
A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.
At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $91,700 -$128,400 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
