About the Role
We're seeking a skilled production worker to join our team at Hormel Foods. In this role, you'll work in our state-of-the-art processing plant, operating and maintaining machinery, packaging, labeling, boxing, and more. This role requires strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Production Line: Assist in achieving production goals by packaging, labeling, cutting, unracking, and boxing turkey products.
- Maintenance: Maintain machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and optimize production.
- Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of produced products to meet customer expectations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Working Conditions:
- Shifts: Work 10 to 12-hour shifts on concrete floors in temperatures ranging from 32 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Physical Demands: Perform repetitive motions such as twisting, turning, bending, and reaching; lift items up to 25 pounds.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Wear personal protective equipment, including a hair net, hard hat, ear protection, safety glasses, boots, etc.
- Team Environment: Work with large groups of people as a team.
