What are the responsibilities and job description for the Jennie-O Turkey Store - Part-Time Breeder Operator - Barron, WI position at Hormel Foods?
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily farm activities/chores associated with caring for breeder turkeys, hatching eggs, farm equipment as outlined and described in the department operating manuals
- Help employees with safety, productivity and cost control by providing personal involvement in farm management, operating decisions and problem solving
- Responsible for accurate accounting and record keeping for eggs packed, eggs culled, cooler temperatures, humidity's and internal egg temperatures
Minimum Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned farm
- Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays
- Must have a math level, reading and writing skills at a 9th grade level
- Ability to work unsupervised
- PHYSICAL: Ability to lift up to 70 pounds from the floor to your waist occasionally
- Must be able to wear eye and respiratory protection equipment continually
- Ability to work in all weather conditions- hot or cold
- No restrictions with lifting, bending or standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a good record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of farm experience

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The hiring pay range for this role is $19.40, 6 months $19.60, 1 year $20.10 per hour.
