RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively manage 3PL operators, providing accurate volume estimates, P&L management, warehouse design, and monthly KPI reporting.
• Partner with customer service, deployment, demand planning, and 3PL operating teams to ensure optimal site performance.
• Manage the operations of warehouse activities such as quarterly site audits, KPI reporting, safety reviews, and process review.
• Support continuous improvement of warehouse operations by identifying and implementing best practices to improve quality, service, inventory accuracy, and cost management.
• Serve as the level 2 support for escalated warehouse activities.
• Lead the development, training, and coaching of subordinate staff.
• Manage contracted operators, Hormel Distribution Center management personnel, and serve as a member of the Warehouse Operations leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5 years of work experience in supply chain.
• Strong business acumen and P&L management experience.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Persuasive and relationship building skills.
• Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
• Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

• 7 years of supply chain experience within a distribution environment.

Location: Austin or Willmar, MN

A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin or Willmar, MN areas will be offered, if required.

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for the Senior Distribution Center Operations Manager role is between $117,175 - $164,000 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
