Waste Water Relief Operator
Pay : $26.25 to $35.75 (Based on experience)
Hours : 10 : 00AM - 6 : 00PM Monday to Friday
500 sign-on bonus and $500 bonus after 60 days of employment!
Relocation assistance available. (Must live 50 miles from Nevada)
This position will require flexibility and possible coverage on weekends when needed.

- The primary goal of the operator is to improve the reliability, efficiency, and operation of the grease decant and pre-treatment system. Maintains a safe working environment, knows and follows HACCP program and principles, USDA guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPP), and the Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC).
- Operates grease decant system to ensure effective grease and water separation from tanks. Loads tankers of grease to be hauled off for further handling and manages water from tanks sent to pre-treatment facility for further processing.
- Monitors and operates pre-treatment system to ensure appropriate chemical dosages and equipment functionality allowing the plant to operate within permitted limits. Analyzes pertinent metrics and outcomes to modify hydraulic loading rates as necessary, while fostering effective communication with colleagues in the department. Monitors and assists in the operation of the sludge transfer system for separation of sludge and water from tanks for transportation to rendering facilities.
- Continuously assesses the production schedule to forecast the amount of grease and sludge required for the desired number of tank trailers and scheduled pick-ups, aiming to minimize operational downtime. This entails direct communication with the renderer and the tanker transport company for grease and sludge pick-ups. Coordination with the wastewater team for sludge pick-ups is vital for uninterrupted operations.
- Repair and maintenance of machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; ensures safe and optimum functioning equipment, systems and processes. Includes rebuilding and replacing pumps and motors; repairing leaks and performing plumbing repairs; performs minor electrical and mechanical work.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance work orders. Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitors the softeners for soft water, proper regeneration, ensures brine level and concentration in the brine tank. Monitors the boiler for efficient operations in sulfate levels, softness, and TDS, and maintains a shift record sheet of the boiler and softeners. Assists with annual boiler inspections and repairs.
- Oversees the unloading of treatment chemicals from bulk delivery trucks. Maintains hazmat certification by completing refresher training as required.
