What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Technologist- Full Time position at Horn Memorial Hospital?
Hiring a full time Radiology Technologist to work daytime hours, four 10 hour shifts/week. Position includes evening and weekend on-call rotation for x-ray/CT. Ideal candidate will also have Ultrasound certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Technologist will perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physicians; produce accurate well defined radiographs
- prepare contrast media and administer to patients either intravenously or through other body cavities under physician direction
- assure that all required consent forms are signed prior to examinations
- practice Radiation safety for self and patients’ safety
- process images and prepare them for reading by the radiologist
- operates portable radiographic equipment for various procedures in the OR, ER and in patient’s room.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must have completed a two year approved program in Radiologic Technology. Registration as an American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Maintains an Iowa Permit to Practice and follows all requirements as mandated by the State of Iowa.
Experience:
- At least one year of experience is preferred, CT Certification and experience preferred. Ultrasound certification preferred.
Applicant must pass background check, drug screen and health assessment including applicable vaccinations prior to hire. Position open until filled.
