The technical support specialist will provide exceptional service, support, and ownership through any technical network problems and provide solutions. The Technical Support Specialist provides primary support to staff at our FOUR HORNE Dealer locations: Horne Auto Center, Horne Motors of Show Low, GMC and Horne Chrysler Dodge Ram Jeep, encountering networking problems when using CDK’s products and the dealership CRM. What you'll do...
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and monitors.
- Install and update software applications and operating systems.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed.
- Ensure data security and privacy by implementing security measures.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assesses issues and troubleshoots using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to establish a course of action, assuring a timely resolution to customer inquiries.
- Must be able to direct and guide customers through resolution of complex technical issues, by phone, email or in person.
- Escalates issues beyond scope of current knowledge and then works to fill in those knowledge gaps.
- Applies knowledge of CDK, Windows and/or IOS operating systems.
- Attends training courses as required and stays abreast of evolving technical, internal processes, and industry developments.
- Provides customer service and remote support services and applies problem solving skills.
- Works in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
What you'll bring...
Certification or equivalent experience required: Work experience designing, installing or supporting core network infrastructure (routers, switches, wireless) for 1 years.
- Excellent customer service skills via phone, chat, and in person.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to lead by example and affect a positive change among peers.
- 1-2 years of technical support experience with client contact.
- Knowledge of PC hardware and software and mobile devices (Smartphones/iPads).
- Troubleshooting knowledge of wireless infrastructure.
- Automotive industry experience is PREFERRED.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
