Summary/objective
The Operations Senior Manager provides financial support to the Focus Area; oversees a team of internal client servers to ensure the administrative needs of the Focus Area are being met; and provides support to the partners and managers. Also participates in strategic initiatives; actively promotes continuous improvement; and supports compliance with firmwide procedures.

- Provide financial management, analysis, and reporting to include approval and oversight of expenditures, monthly review of financial statements, reclass recommendations, management of financial dashboards, and ensuring data integrity of practice management system information.
- Manage, oversee, and act as a performance advisor to a team of administrative support and ensure firmwide directives are communicated appropriately.
- Oversee recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
- Develop strategies meant to assist the assigned area in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible.
- Approve and allocate resources based on business priorities.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to policies or procedures.
- Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
- Lead with the development of new or modified budgets
- Oversee and direct contract management efforts; AR management and billing processes; and event management to include internal training, management meetings, and team building events
- Develop relationships with Firm Services contacts and act as a liaison with Marketing, Technology, HR, and Finance for communication and coordination of various projects and initiatives.
- Assist in education and communication of firmwide policies to promote compliance and reduce risk related to policies and procedures such as record retention, engagement letter language, business associate agreements, and client acceptance.
- Leads Focus Area NetSuite implementation and management initiative.
- Cultivate a positive team environment and a sense of belonging.

Work environment
Based in a HORNE office setting or on a hybrid basis as needed.
Physical demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel required
Occasional travel as required – less than 20%
Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s in business administration, accounting, finance or related degree
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Prior management experience
- Ability to lead, develop and mentor others
- Strong decision-making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven situational analysis and problem-solving skills
Preferred education and experience
- Experience with Smartsheet or other project management tools
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
- Prior Public accounting experience highly preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
