Description
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Project Controls Specialist in our St. Louis office. At least 1 year of administrative experience is preferred for this position. This position will be responsible for close coordination with project managers to complete monthly invoices and support the control of projects. The PCS will have daily interaction with multiple project managers.
Requirements
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications related to invoicing.
- Prepare draft invoices for PM review and complete final invoicing for clients, including all applicable back-ups
- Support project managers through all phases of a project including contract development, project setup using Deltek Vantagepoint software, budget tracking, and other project administrative tasks
- Update project reports for project managers and business unit leaders
- Provide administrative support to project managers and engineers
- Perform miscellaneous office administration tasks
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in project invoicing & billing
- General knowledge of accounting terms & practices
- Strong math, bookkeeping, and organization skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task on various projects & assignments
- Experience with ERP & CRM products, specifically Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
- Experience with resource scheduling software, specifically Microsoft Project or Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
None required, Bachelor’s degree in business-related field is a plus
SALARY RANGE:
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
