What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager (Civil/Site) position at Horner & Shifrin?
Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Project Manager to work in our Civil/Site business unit. This is an excellent opportunity as we are continuing to grow in Northwest Arkansas and work on challenging and rewarding projects. This position requires 8-10 years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Lead engineers and designers throughout the life of the project
- Perform detention, water quality, and piped hydraulic design calculation
- Prepare engineering cost estimates
- Prepare project-specific technical specifications
- Review shop drawings
- Perform construction administration duties, including punch list visits and documentation
- Oversee project financial status
- Assist with marketing proposals
- Strong client relationships and must have the ability to develop business
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensed Professional Engineer or become licensed within one year
- Ability to lead, manage, and schedule staff to meet project needs
- Ability to collaborate well with a team working toward common goals.
- Critical thinking and analysis
- Experience using Civil 3D CAD modeling
- Experience using HEC-RAS modeling
- Experience using detention programs such as PondPack
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project)
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
SALARY RANGE:
Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
