Position Overview
Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) is seeking an intern for the Fan Experience Department. The Fan Experience intern assists with planning and production of Hornets home games and HSE events. The intern assists multiple areas including Game Presentation, Event Presentation and Technical Operations.
This is a paid internship. Intern will be paid $15.00 per hour, with the ability to work thirty (30) hours maximum per week. The 2025-2026 season program runs from September 8, 2025, through April 24, 2026.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Game Presentation with game day duties and stage manager as assigned.
- Support Event Presentation with HSE-related events.
- Handle office tasks as assigned, including brainstorming entertainment projects, conducting vendor research and attending department meetings.
- Provide off-site event support as needed for Event Presentation and Technical Operations
- Participate in meetings and contribute creatively to brainstorming sessions and research project.
- Participate in the full internship program, including workshops, speaker series, job shadowing, and working on an intern project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/ Experience/ and Abilities
To be successful in this position, you should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Male collegiate basketball players must have exhausted their NCAA eligibility before participating in the HSE internship program.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exhibit an outgoing personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Handle sensitive projects and maintain confidentiality with discretion.
- Ability to work games and events on nights and weekends.
- Hospitality or event management experience preferred.
- Maintain a professional image.
- Possess knowledge of basketball preferred.
