As a Telecom PE, you will support various telecom engineering projects throughout the country and work on challenging projects to develop and expand your telecom understanding.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Design and draft Engineering projects in fiber optics and telecommunications
- Design running lines
- Plan set development which includes details, site plans, drainage, grading, and electrical drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines
- Manage project data files from various sources
- Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually / remotely
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies :
3-6 Years of experienceA self-directed practitioner with strong project management and project delivery skillsAbility to supervise staff, bid projects, and develop project execution plans and technical deliverablesOutstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levelsTechnical expert with outstanding team building, writing, proposal development, cost estimating, and program execution skillsMust be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clientsOrganized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3DUndergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one yearExperience working with both private and municipal clientsStrong industry relationships and an understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteriaSignificant experience and understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and proceduresAbility to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally.Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing prioritiesBe a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environmentWhy would a candidate want this job?
