We are looking for a Rail Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to support the design and delivery of railway infrastructure projects. This role will involve assisting project managers and engineers in developing track and civil design plans, coordinating with various discipline teams, and ensuring project success from feasibility to detailed design.
What are the core responsibilities for the role?
- Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers in developing track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Assist in coordinating work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop design criteria, project guidelines, and meeting documentation while supporting the Project Manager.
- Work independently on small-scale projects or provide support on larger, complex projects.
- Provide guidance to technical and clerical personnel as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Basic proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Strong interest in railroad design and transportation infrastructure.
- Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
